Pennard is a members club, over 100 years old, but don't be fooled! It is most certainly a 21st century golf club that is modern and friendly. The Clubhouse has a restaurant and terrace with stunning views over Three Cliffs Bay.
The practice facilities include: a driving range, indoor swing studio, chipping green, putting green and a 100 yard practice hole. The course is perfect for beginners and experienced golfers alike, with a 3 hole loop, 9 hole loop and 18 hole loop.
Pennard is a classic rugged links course situated 200ft above sea level leading to it being known as "The Links in the Sky".
It is blessed with free draining ground, which remains playable all year round with tight lies, running fairways and firm fast greens.
Along with the unique golf course, there are fantastic views of the famous Three Cliffs Bay over to Oxwich Bay.
If at any time in your round you are not scoring well, look at the views and we are sure it will bring a smile to your face and regain your confidence for what lies ahead.
The front nine is a classic mix of strong par 3’s and 4’s with a solitary par 5. This warms you up for the challenge on the spectacular back nine.
From hole 10 the course and views just get better! The topography gets more severe and challenging with hole after hole moving out towards the Three Cliffs Bay over to Oxwich Bay.
Stop for a moment and take in the view from green 16. You won’t be disappointed.
Pennard is uniquely different!
Burnham and Berrow has the great advantage of two great courses to choose from, the Championship course and the Channel course. Both courses are links and are playable 52 weeks of the year.
Eighteen quality Links holes, set among the towering sand dunes on the Bristol Channel Coast, Burnham and Berrow has for over a century been the venue for many prestigious golfing events, from the British Ladies Amateur Championships, the Brabazon, the Tillman Trophy, the British Boys and English Championships…
From the 1st Tee shot you know you are somewhere special! The Course is laid out in the traditional manner with nine holes out and nine back. The first nine holes skirt the sand dunes and coastline northwards, turning inland and southwards and then following the coast road through Berrow, past the Church and back into Burnham.
